KONSTANZ SPARKLES – FROM THE OLD TOWN TO THE LAKE SHORE

From November 27 to December 23, 2025, the city will once again be transformed into a glittering winter village – with huts, the famous Christmas ship, and plenty of moments of enjoyment.
The Christmas market by the lake is one of the most beautiful in the region – and rightly so. Lovingly decorated stalls line the streets between the old town, the city garden, and the harbor area. Whether you’re looking for handmade jewelry, winter decorations, or creative gift ideas, you’ll find real treasures for the festive season here.

An integral part of the market for years and now an indispensable feature: the Christmas ship! On the festively lit Lake Constance ship, you can enjoy steaming mulled wine, atmospheric music, and a glittering view over the wintry lake.
For the little ones (and anyone who celebrates their inner child), there is the elf village with a historic horse carousel from the 1890s and small play attractions.
The market leaves nothing to be desired in terms of cuisine: from Demeter pizza, cheese spaetzle, and Swiss fondue sticks to oven-baked Baumstriezel, roasted almonds, winter punch, and Feuerzangenbowle, everything is included—regional and sustainable. Konstanz music clubs, students, and solo artists provide the perfect Christmas atmosphere with absolute Christmas classics.
