REORGANISING & REDESIGNING AT LAGO

A centre where no two days are the same. With exciting people, constantly new topics, ideas and challenges – that’s exactly what Katja Köpf appreciates about her new role. She has been the official centre manager at LAGO since 1 October. And anyone who meets her quickly realises that she is someone who likes to get things done and shape things.

After more than nine years as manager of the FÜNF HÖFE city quarter in Munich, she brings not only expertise but also a keen sense of style, trends and experience. Her goal: to further develop urban spaces. Creating places where people enjoy coming – to shop, enjoy themselves and socialise. She now wants to do the same in Konstanz: working with the team to strengthen LAGO as a lively, modern meeting place and position it for the future.

One thing is already clear: Katja Köpf has ambitions. But what does it take to manage a centre with around 70 stores? She describes her personality as ‘communicative, committed and solution-oriented’. Her career has been particularly marked by periods of change – times when it was important to remain flexible, break new ground together and function as a team. Her attitude: ‘Lead with passion and remain open to new ideas. Nothing is impossible.’

She is also delighted that her new job has brought her to Lake Constance: ‘The combination of lake, city and nature is simply unbeatable.’ In her free time, she loves to spend time by or on the water – how could it be otherwise?
