1. Stand-up paddling on the Hörnle: a balancing act that pays off
The classic lake activity – but anything but boring. You can hire SUP boards directly at the Horn lido every day in good weather. If you like it sporty, try one of the SUP fitness courses – there are yoga, Pilates and workouts to choose from (check the dates in advance on FB). Those who prefer to relax can glide leisurely through the water while standing, kneeling or lying down. Tip: The last rental option at the weekend is usually at 7 pm – perfect for enjoying a quiet summer evening from the board.

2. SUP yoga near Hegne: sun salutations at sunset
Gentle movements on the board not only train your balance, but also help you to calm down mentally. Yoga instructor Berenice will guide you through a mindful flow session – sunset, sunrise and full moon specials are offered. Highly recommended, also suitable for beginners – no previous yoga or SUP experience is necessary, safe swimming is enough. Board, paddle and equipment are provided. Also on the program: The Paddle & Relax tours are time-outs for women only – with a maximum of seven participants and a guided meditation at sunset.

3. Canoe & kayak tours: On the paddles, get set, go
If you fancy exercise, nature and discovery, you can hire a kayak or canoe at numerous stations around Lake Constance. Whether around the monastery or flower island, to the pile dwellings or to Stein am Rhein – many routes invite you to enjoy both relaxed and sporty day trips. There is a short introduction for beginners and a discount for families. Tip: No equipment required, you can hire everything on site – including paddle, life jacket and dry bag. 4. Relaxed pedal boat dates: four pedals and a picnic
Rowing and paddling not your thing? Then just pedal your way across the water. Once you’ve left the shore behind you, it’s time to put your feet up: Put your feet up and unpack your snacks. Take a pedalo for a leisurely trip across the lake, find a quiet spot away from the hustle and bustle and turn the afternoon into a floating picnic. Ideal for romantic dates, family & friends. 5. Joyride on a motorboat: cruising across the lake without a license
Boating without a Lake Constance navigation license? You can, with a 5 HP motorized rental boat – for example from Marc Fluck in Gondelehafen, right next to the Imperia or the Lake Constance Pirates on the Meersburg promenade. It is also a wonderful way to sail around the island of Reichenau: with a view of the bird sanctuary and the UNESCO-protected monastery – all from the comfort of the water. Ideal for small groups and anyone who prefers to explore the lake without muscle power and in complete relaxation.

6. Waterskiing, wakeboarding & banana: the lively adrenaline kick
If you fancy some fast-paced action, it’s best to hop on a wakeboard or strap on your water skis. Around the lake, water sports schools and local providers offer various courses, time slots, equipment and lots of fun. Experienced skippers will pull you behind them in wild slaloms on wakeboards, water skis, bananas or tubes – for adrenaline junkies of almost any age.
